as per tradition, i have once again decided to celebrate valentine's day with a non-girly, minimalist manicure. last february i went with the black/red combo, but decided to nix the obvious colors this time around and sport a winter-esque mani instead.

i confess, i've seen several variations of this design before, but decided to give it a go on my own terms. also, my BFF kayley informed me that there are actually foil strips that you can purchase for these types of designs, instead of attempting to sloppish-ly freehand a straight line across the nail. who knew? definitely going to have to give those a try. 

nail colors are essie's "steel-ing the scene" and "blanc"
