northern winters are always super harsh on my skin, which means extra TLC is a must! along with my cleansing rituals and anti-aging serums, i religiously exfoliate 2-3 times per week to keep the dead skin at bay. i know, i'm totally OCD about it. heh.
i rotate between a physical scrub [dermaquest's polishing facial scrub] & a mild chemical exfoliant [aura's fruit enzyme peel]. now if you're totally lost as to the difference between facial exfoliators, here's a brief rundown...
physical exfoliants: manual scrubs with granulated crystals or beads which buff off nasty dead skin cells & elements from the environment. typically best for oily-skinned gals [that's me!] or those with larger pores [and me again!].
chemical exfoliants: non-abrasive exfoliants that chemically dissolve dead skin. ideal for those with skin sensitivities. chemical exfoliants are usually left on as a mask & rinsed off after 5-15 minutes.
now if i could give one tip it would be this: invest in your exfoliators! drug store products can often times do more damage with their harsh scrubs or obnoxiously perfumed products. do your research first! :)

This is a great advice! Thanks for sharing.
