military blonde.

i did it. i took the plunge and went BLONDER! don't tell me if you hate it because there's no turning back now... :) for most of my life i've been a blonde, but gradually started going dark around the time ross and i started dating. i figured it was due time to get back to my roots! it feels great to be lighter again. ahh...

still keeping my rooty-roots though to add some ombre dimension. i can't count how many times i've had people tell me i should probably get my root color touched up. no people, I WANT IT TO LOOK LIKE THIS. do any of my fellow ombre-rites get this too??

pretty sure my poor hairs are quite angry with me right now. i'll be clinging to my pureology hair masks and moroccan oil for the next few weeks!! anyone have any haircare treatments they swear by? i'm always up for trying something new!

and for your enjoyment, my exaggerated "hailing of a taxi" awkward blogger pose. not very flattering, but hey... we can't take ourselves too seriously, right?

xoxo, blair.

  4. so excited to see your blonder hair! and, you've inspired me to finally try out some military-inspired outerwear because the green looks stellar against your blondeness. mad props on both fronts.

  6. I really like the hair but your hairstylist didn't do a very good job of getting the foil close to the roots.

  10. I love the blonder hair! I really liked both shades on you, but sometimes a change is good. :) This is such a tough girl look. I love those boots and the leather mini is perfection. Cute "hailing a cab" photo too! <3

  11. Haha gotta say, I love your 'awkward' blogger poses - although you still manage to look gorgeous! Love the new hair. I recently ombre-ed my ends, and they're a little damaged too - I'm lathering on the moisture masks :)

  14. I love the look of grown-out roots, even more so than intentional ombre! As a licensed hairstylist, I would recommend getting some really good shampoo and conditioner. Goldwell Colorglow shampoo and conditioner is my favorite (specifically for blondes) and also L'Oreal Professional Vitamino color conditioner. They can be found at salons or beauty supply stores!

    1. I'll have to look into those products! Sometimes I think I have an addiction in buying haircare products... Like I always need to be trying something new/different. I'm sure it's even harder for you hair stylists!

  17. Hahaa, your blogger poses never fail to make me giggle. Anyway, LOVE the hair, the blonde looks sooo good on you! You have inspired me to stay blonde/light for winter, embrace the light hair and all that!! Also, I do get the 'so why is the top of your hair brown?!' alot, but hey, they just dont GET it, more the fool them! ;P

    1. Seriously! I mean... I suppose technically ombre should be on its way out considering how long it has been around. (Or maybe it IS out and I'm just behind. LOL) ... Either way, I'm still obsessed, still going to rock it. Glad to see I'm not alone! xo

  19. Your hair looks great! And I seriously hate when people suggest I get my roots done! Ombre is a look, hello!-Have you picked up a magazine?- Also don't they understand that ombre is wayyyy more maintainable. Unintentional roots...ew and expensive...intentional, pretty and free!

  21. It has been said a lot of times that when a man doesn’t find anything else to dress himself perfectly, a nice shirt becomes his first choice. Shirts are the best bet when it comes to expressing yourself in a better way.
