the chevron manicure.

back in the nail art business!
this chevron design is similar to my "reverse french manicure" from last fall... but with a twist. this time i "suspended" the chevron. i know, excitement ensues... :)

like always, this is a freehanded mani. i'm too impatient to wait for it to dry, use a stencil, etc.

here's the basic gist of it:

paint two coats of your base color [it's best if you use a neutral or lighter color]. leave room for some dry time. for the second color, sweep the brush lightly from the outside of the nail to the center. repeat for the opposite side of the chevron. use this color sparingly. i learned the hard way of having the polish run onto my skin. [arg!]

colors are essie's "sand tropez" & "mint candy apple"

can i say TGIF [x1000]... i'm sooo ready for the weekend! any easter bunny sightings yet? lol

xoxo, blair.
